Diablo 5 Concept Art

AnswerConfirmed[B1]×2 blizzard.gamespress.com + news.blizzard.com · verified Oct 10, 2026Verified on Oct 10, 2026

Everything shown of Diablo 5 so far is concept art. Blizzard released 29 images in its press kit on September 13, 2026, and 12 illustrations in its panel recap. You get portraits of the three classes, twelve unnamed characters, environments and an inventory mockup. None of it is a game screenshot.

The 30-second version

What class art is there?

Each of the three confirmed classes, the Plague Knight, the Demon Hunter and the Monk, has a sepia portrait in the press kit and a black-and-white sketch in the article. There's also a triptych with all three, names lettered in. Confirmed[B1]×2 blizzard.gamespress.com + news.blizzard.com · verified Oct 10, 2026

The class portraits don't carry a "not final" stamp, but the kit only calls them "Class Portraits." Until Blizzard says they're final art, we treat them as concept art. Confirmed[B1] blizzard.gamespress.com · verified Oct 7, 2026

Who are the characters in the portraits?

We don't know, and we won't guess. The kit includes twelve "Character Portraits" with no names or captions, and the article adds one more scene beside some wagons: a winged figure, a woman aiming a crossbow, an old man with a skull-topped staff, a horned figure by a bundle… Blizzard doesn't say who any of them are. What do the environments look like?

Eleven environments in the kit, each stamped "CONCEPT ART. NOT FINAL": ruined Gothic cathedrals, paths through thorns, a giant skeleton over wooden ruins, a flooded harbor, a burning village by the water. Confirmed[B1] blizzard.gamespress.com · verified Oct 7, 2026

On stage, senior art director John Mueller said the world is told through three stories: the past (ruins), the present (the commanders' corruption) and the future (Hell breaking through). Confirmed[T2] warcraft.blizzplanet.com · verified Oct 6, 2026 Blizzard doesn't say which image belongs to which story, or where on the map any of them is. → World of Diablo 5

And the inventory?

The only image with actual Diablo 5 items is a mockup: two tooltips, for the War Spear and the Ancient Shield, and a grid inventory. It's stamped "In development content · Not final." Provisional[B1] bnetcmsus-a.akamaihd.net · verified Oct 6, 2026

What we leave out, and why

  • The Diablo 5 logo: only inside a news story about the reveal, never as site artwork.
  • The official article's header image: it looks like a frame from the cinematic, and Blizzard doesn't allow frames from its videos. We won't use it until we know what it is.
  • Duplicates: five illustrations appear in both the kit and the article; we show the kit version, which is the original and the higher-quality file.

How we handle Blizzard's art

  • Confirmed[B1] blizzard.com · verified Oct 6, 2026Every image is shown whole and unaltered: no filters, no crops that change its meaning, no text on top.
  • Underneath: "Concept art · not final · © Blizzard Entertainment" (for the inventory, "In development · not final") and a link to the source.
  • Descriptions are ours and never identify anyone Blizzard hasn't named.
  • We never use this art to promote anything else.

What we don't know yet

As of October 10, 2026, Blizzard has not released:

  • in-game screenshots or final art;
  • the name of any character in the portraits;
  • where each environment sits on the map;
  • whether the class portraits are the classes' final look.
