"Confirmed" here means exactly what the row says: the platform has not been announced. It does not mean Diablo 5 won't come to it.

What has the team said?

In a group interview published on September 15, 2026, with Joe Shely, Jennifer Brandes Hepler and Matt Zitterman, the answer was blunt: "No specific platforms to announce right now." They added that they want as many people as possible to play Diablo V (PlayDay). Interview[T3] playday.one · verified Oct 6, 2026

That is a statement of intent, not an announcement. It names no systems and no timing.

Blizzard repeated it in writing to Kotaku on September 17: "We are not announcing platforms today," with details to come "when we are ready." On September 21 it added that a PC remark at the press event was an acknowledgement that PC and Battle.net are foundational to Blizzard, "not an announcement" (Kotaku). What's likely?

What about Switch 2? Diablo IV doesn't count

At the same BlizzCon, Blizzard confirmed that Diablo IV was arriving on Switch 2 on September 15,

What we don't know yet

As of October 9, 2026, Blizzard has not said:

  • which platforms Diablo 5 is coming to;
  • whether they all launch on the same day;
  • whether there will be crossplay or cross-progression;
  • PC system requirements;
  • whether there will be a Switch 2 or mobile version.

The moment Blizzard announces a platform, the table above changes and the update is logged below.
